Introduction: Previous studies have found that public health systems within the United States are inadequately prepared for an act of biological terrorism. As COVID-19 pandemic continues, few evaluated bioterrorism preparedness Emergency Medical Services (EMS), even in accelerating environment biothreats. Method: This study utilized Internet-based survey to assess level and willingness respond a attack identify factors predict among Nebraska EMS providers. The was available 1 month 2021 during which 190 providers responded survey. Results: Only 56.8% were able recognize illness or injury as potentially resulting from exposure agent. Provider Clinical Competency levels ranged low 13.6% (ability initiate patient care his/her professional scope practice arrange prompt referral appropriate identified condition(s)) high 74% (the ability emergency management system practice, institution, community). 10% respondents both willing effectively function bioterror environment.
